  • ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University is pleased to announce a new transfer partnership with Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC), benefiting students from the following IECC institutions:

    • Frontier Community College of Fairfield
    • Lincoln Trail College of Robinson
    • Olney Central College of Olney
    • Wabash Valley College of Mount Carmel
  • This partnership between ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ and IECC institutions will provide students with a seamless transfer experience. Students who have successfully completed an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 at an IECC institution will be automatically accepted into a ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ baccalaureate degree program and provided a plan of study that will enable them to complete their ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ degree in two years.

  • How does this new partnership benefit IECC transfer students?

    • IECC students transferring to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ with a completed AA or AS will have completed 100% of ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½â€™s University Studies requirements.
    • Students who transfer with completed associate’s degrees will be able to complete their ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ bachelor’s degree in two years, provided they are enrolled full time (12-18 credits per semester).
    • Students who have successfully met the requirements of the honors program at an IECC institution are guaranteed automatic acceptance into the James ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ Honors Scholars Program upon application.
    • This agreement is effective beginning the 2024-25 academic year.

    Upon successful completion of an AA or AS with a 2.0 cumulative GPA, transfer students can successfully complete the following programs in two years (four semesters):

  • General Program Articulation

    After completing an AA or AS at an IECC institution, transfer students can complete the following ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University bachelor’s degree programs in two years (four semesters) with full-time enrollment of at least 15 credits per semester, regardless of specific prior coursework through IECC:

  • Specific Program Articulation

    Associate in Arts or Associate in Science

    Transfer students can complete the following ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University bachelor’s degree programs in two years (four semesters) with full-time enrollment of at least 15 credits per semester, presuming the required courses are completed as part of the AA or AS. Students should discuss their transfer plans with the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University Transfer Coordinator as early in their academic career as possible regarding required courses for their intended major. Students who have not completed required courses will still be admitted, but may require additional semesters to complete their programs of study.

  • Do you wish to transfer but don’t yet have an associate’s degree? Talk to your Student Success Coach about reverse transfer opportunities that may allow you to transfer ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ credits to earn an associate’s degree.
