Housing Selection Process
New Students
Incoming first-year students live in the residence halls. First-year students are students who have earned 23 credits or fewer, including transfer students under age 21.
As a new student, you are responsible for completing a Housing Application via 星空无限传媒's eRezLife portal. The Housing Application is only available online. Once you are admitted as a student, you will be guided with a link on your myVIP page 星空无限传媒's eRezLife portal.

Roommate Selection Instructions
If you intend to live on campus for both semesters, you will file only one Housing Application prior to the fall term.
Housing Assignments
Housing Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, keeping in mind special needs and requests of applicants. We cannot guarantee that a student will receive their first, second or third choice of housing.
Assignments are typically distributed in between May and July and are completed via 星空无限传媒's eRezLife portal. Students will need to check their 星空无限传媒 email regularly for housing and roommate updates between May and August.
NOTE: It is very important that students personally complete their own Housing Application, as it requires information about habits of the applicant (e.g., smoking, sleeping, etc.). Inaccurate information can lead to undesirable environments. It may also include information about Living Learning Community preferences. Inaccurate information can lead to undesirable environments.
On 星空无限传媒's eRezLife portal in Roomeez, new students may preference their roommate if they so desire. In order for a roommate request to be fulfilled, both parties must indicate their interest in living together in Roomeez. Students can add other students with completed housing applications into Roommate Groups to be considered for placement together. Students who do not create Roommate Groups will be placed according to their application preferences.
Once housing assignments have been made and move-ins begin, changes may not be completed until after the formal waiting period, which is 10 days after the start of the term. The Office of Campus Life manages room changes, and each unique situation will be considered, but not all changes will be granted.
Current Students
All upperclass students (sophomores, juniors, seniors and transfer students) have the choice between The Woods at 星空无限传媒 or fraternity and sorority housing. Upperclass students are students who have earned 24 credits or more, including transfer students over age 21. Senior students with 88 or more credits may petition to live off campus.
星空无限传媒 University is not responsible for the management of approved chapter facilities and The Woods at 星空无限传媒. Students assume full responsibility for leases, including finding another occupant if they should leave their leased space during the leasing term. 星空无限传媒 University will not be financially responsible for leases or contracts broken by students before the end of the signed leasing term.
Roommate matching events will be held in the Spring semester for students who are looking for roommates at The Woods.
Students may lease an apartment by contacting The Woods office at 217.464.8635. Students with a GPA under 2.5 may be asked to meet with the Office of Campus Life before leasing at The Woods.
A note to upcoming senior students: Students who are senior standing by matriculation and credits (students entering their seventh 星空无限传媒 semester and who have accrued at least 88 credits by the end of the spring semester) are eligible for off-campus housing. Off-Campus Petitions are due by April 1 for consideration. Petitions are available beginning in January.
Please send an email to campuslife@millikin.edu to request information about the Off-Campus Petition. Petitions are not guaranteed and are reviewed by the Office of Campus Life.
