More than 50 employers will be on campus to speak with students and alumni looking for internships and jobs

DECATUR – ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University’sÌýCenter for Academic and Professional Performance (CAPP)Ìýwill hostÌýthe Spring 2023 Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 23 from Noon-2:30 p.m. at the Third Floor Banquet Room of the University Commons.Ìý

The event is open to all ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ students and alumni.

More than 50 Central Illinois employers will be on hand, including ADM, the Decatur Police Department, HSHS, Memorial Health System, and several departments from theÌýIllinois State Government, looking for candidates for job and internship positions.Ìý

ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ hosts several campus Career Fairs each year to connect students/alumni and employers. The process of recruiting qualified employees can be costly, time-consuming, and frustrating. Career fairs are an efficient and effective way to screen many candidates in a relatively short period of time.

ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½â€™s career fairs allow employers the opportunity to meet qualified and well-prepared ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University students and alumni seeking full-time job opportunities, obtain resumes and informally interview or screen candidates.

ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ students have a 99% success rate of gaining employment or entering graduate or professional school within six months of graduation, compared to the 71% national average.Ìý
