Recurring Credit Card Gifts
Recurring credit card gifts can be made in any amount and scheduled for your convenience. They enable you to make a more significant commitment and space out your payments while ensuring consistent support for ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½. Your recurring gift can be paid in weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual installments.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic Funds Transfers are a donor-friendly method to support ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ monthly or semi-monthly via direct withdrawals from your checking or savings account. EFTs represent a simple and convenient approach to ongoing support of your alma mater.
Donors can set up an EFT by calling the Alumni and Development Office at 217.424.6383 with their bank routing and account numbers, along with their desired gift amount and frequency.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated stocks and other securities are an easy and tax-friendly way to give to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½. By giving appreciated securities directly to ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½, you avoid paying the capital gains tax on the securities, and if you itemize your taxes, you receive an income-tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift.

In-Kind Gifts
Gifts in kind include donations of property other than cash and marketable securities such as art, artifacts, books, equipment, furnishings and software. Likewise, gifts of intangible personal property, such as copyrights, patents and mineral rights, can generate income for the institution.
Gifts in kind must be reviewed by the university before acceptance.
A gift in kind requires an official transfer of ownership. The donor must determine the fair market value of the gift for tax reporting purposes and ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ will issue a gift in kind receipt consisting of a simple description of the donated property.

Make a Memorial Gift or Honorarium
Gifts made in memory or in honor of a family member, teacher, student or friend are a thoughtful way to remember a person's life and accomplishments.
To provide a gift in honor or memory of someone, please send your gift with a note specifying the honoree's name and address and/or contact information for his or her next of kin. Any form of gift may be given. We will designate the honorary or memorial gift according to your wishes.

Make a Pledge
A pledge is a formal statement of intention to make a gift to the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making a one-time gift at a later date or by making payments over a designated period of time not exceeding 5 years.

Donor-Advised Funds
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a giving method that allows charitably inclined individuals to make donations that combine favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to manage their charitable donations. DAFs allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.
ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ University accepts gifts from a variety of Donor Advised Funds. Through your donations, ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ will designate the funds to the area of your choice, including the ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ Fund, Annual Scholarships, endowed funds, or capital projects. DAFs make tax-exempt giving easy and give students the opportunity to earn a quality education.
